Dr. Simona Katona attended the International Dentist Program at the University of Illinois at Chicago, where she received her Doctorate of Dental Surgery. Following dental school, Dr. Katona spent four years training in the post-graduate periodontics program at the University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) where she served as Chief Resident and was awarded a Specialty Certification in Periodontics.
Dr. Katona has obtained the highest recognition for a specialist in the field of Periodontology by becoming a Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, a distinction held by less than one-third of all practicing Periodontists. She is a Board Certified Periodontist and is currently involved in the following dental organizations: American Academy of Periodontology , Chicago Dental Society, International Academy of Ceramic Implanvology. Dr Katona continues to teach as adjunct lecturer in the Department of Periodontics at UIC.
Dr. Katona keeps up with the latest advances in periodontology and dental implant therapy by attending the annual congress of the American Academy of Periodontology and continuing education trainings with the world top experts in the field. Dr Katona enjoys treating all aspects of periodontal disease, periodontal plastic surgery, hard and soft tissue regeneration, and implant dentistry. She is committed to provide excellent patient care and strives to achieve an optimum oral health and well being for her patients.
Corina Radu DMD,

Corina received her DMD from the University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in 1999. Her orthodontic specialty training was completed in 2001 at the Children’s National Medical Center Hospital/George Washington University in Washington, DC. Born, raised and college educated in Europe-Romania, Corina won a diversity visa lottery in 1995 and with it the right to legally immigrate to the US. She served her new country as a dentist and captain in the US Army Reserves from 2001-2004.
Dr. Corina Radu’s professional affiliations include the American Association of Orthodontists, Midwestern Society of Orthodontists and Illinois Society of Orthodontists. She achieved the highest distinction of Diplomate of the American Board of Orthodontics in 2002 and recertified in 2012 till 2022. She is a Certified Provider for Invisalign®, Invisalign Teen and Clear Correct.
An open-minded clinician, committed to providing outstanding service for her patients and always incorporating new and refining techniques, she attends numerous orthodontic education courses, and limits her practice to orthodontics exclusively. She enjoys treating complex interdisciplinary cases such as combined orthodontics with jaw surgery and “Wilckodontics” (periodontally accelerated orthodontics), and incorporates routinely laser procedures and mini-implants that facilitate faster and more predictable orthodontic treatment results.
